Blorgg Honklorph Malfonxia is a collection of photoscans and maximalist hexed glitches. Working with overgrown bamboo roots from LoVid’s home, the artists created high-resolution images by tweaking light, motion, and placement directly on the scanner bed. Each photoscan was then glitched using custom hex-editing software vibe-coded by LoVid. Using iterative outputs and recursive glitching, ten digital offspring/mutants were selected from each original photoscan. The Blorgg embodies LoVid’s love of chance and chaos, intuition and control, and colorful blurring of boundaries between the natural and the technological as the fusion melts into vibrant hybridity.
